Well, it has finally happened. I've broken the umbilical cord with my cable TV service provider. Actually, if you follow my blog, you know that I declared my divorce from them over a month ago. The service termination date, if you can call what we got from them service, was last Thursday. They were supposed to pick up the equipment that day, and that my friends, was the seed for this blog.

Why I hate cable
For the eleventy-ninth time this week, I shut down my TV because I couldn't find anything on worth watching. Not unusual, I suppose, but it really irks me that I'm actually paying Comcast for the signal, and all I get on it is garbage!

False Advertising
I tried to post this earlier today, but apparently MySpace had a bad case of hiccups.
I was sitting here, keeping my grandchild company while watching the "Sprout" cable channel - you know, all kid programming, all the time?Anyway, it gradually sinks into my consciousness that there, on my TV screen, is a purple T. Rex dancing around a bunch of preschool-aged children, exhorting the benefits of eating plenty of fruits and vegetables.
